Do you want to eat the best wonton noodles soup of Hong Kong? Then visit Mak’s Noodle House in Central. This has been a family business since the 60’s and the recipe for the soup and the noodles has never been changed.
Often you do have to wait for a seat (except when it’s not in the peak hours) and don’t expect a fancy interior. The store is really simple. Inside you sit on small chairs with a foldable table, where you’ll find the menu slipped under glass. Exactly how I like to eat my noodles!
The noodles were really good and the wontons were fresh handmade and chewy. And we can’t forget about the most important base: the soup. The soup was so intensely tasteful!
The price for a small bowl of wonton noodles soup is about 3 euro. When you’re a big eater, you’ll definitely have to order more. But come on, 3 euro per bowl…what are we talking about? You can’t even buy a normal sandwich for that kind of price in The Netherlands, right?
So I say: visit Mak’s Noodle House in Central! It’s worth it!
