This is the cheapest dimsum restaurant with a Michelin star. It’s not a very fancy place for eating out and you surely can’t tell that it’s a Star-restaurant. Still, the dimsum is of top quality for very reasonable prices. Most of the dishes are around HKD $15 and HKD $20.
The quality of the dishes are of high standards and the ingredients are super fresh. You can definitely taste that when eating their dimsum.
When you want to try this restaurant out, remember that you have to arrive early to get a number to stand in line, since waiting for 1 or 2 hours is not exceptional. Also, don’t be smart and go shopping in the neighbourhood to kill time. When your number is called out and you’re not near the restaurant, your table will be given to the next person.
They have opened a second branche in Sham Shui Po, but the quality of the other location is better. So do you want to have top notch dishes? Then you absolutely have to visit the Mongkok branche!
Tip: Order the pork buns and the siu mai. They are truly worth waiting for!
