Le Marais is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Paris and also one of our favorite neighborhood where we stroll through every time when we are in Paris. Le Marais is officially in the 4th arrondissement on the left bank of the Seine, but a part of it can also be found in the 3rd arrondissement. This area has a variety of fashionable bars and restaurants, many shops, boutiques and art galleries.
Stroll through the streets of Le Marais
This beautiful historic district is perfect for a good walk because the old streets are filled with beautiful buildings and unique boutiques that you will find nowhere else in Paris. These can be found mainly in the streets like Rue des Rosiers, Rue Charlot, Rue du Rio de Sicile and Rue Vieille du Temple. Would you like to visit the big chains? You can also find these in Le Marais! The Rue de Rivoli is a big long shopping street that runs through the Marais. We personally prefer the little small streets, but it’s worth the look when you are in Le Marais for the first time.
most beautiful square in the world
What you should not miss in Le Marias is the beautiful square, Place des Vosges. This is known as one of the most beautiful squares in the world. In the summer we sit here to enjoy the sun with a glass of wine and a little bite.
Would you also visit Le Marais? Take the metro and get off at Hotel de Ville or Saint Paul, and find yourself immediately in the middle of this lovely area of Paris!
