Hongdae is a super nice area near the Hongik University. This area is well known for Seoul’s Indie culture. On every corner of the street you’ll enjoy live music by live bands or individual artists playing on their guitars, singing like professionals. The vibe here is really fantastic!
In Hongdae you’ll find a very artistic vibe. You’ll bump into unique stores, special restaurants and super nice café’s. Each Saturday artists sell their own work like street art, jewellery, clothes and much more in a small park behind the crowded streets of Hongdae. It’s a very fun place to look around at the reasonable priced pieces and while shopping, you can enjoy Korean snacks in the small stands nearby.
The main streets of Hongdae are always very crowded and busy. You’ll be blown away by all the small clothing stores playing Korean pop-music (K-Pop) at maximum volume through the speakers. Here you’ll find nice cheap clothing, jewellery, shoes and so much more! But what we even like better are the small alleys of Hongdae. Here you’ll find SUPER nice café’s and characteristic stores with trendy fashion. Clothes which you see in these stores are a little bit more expensive, but it’s all worth it, since you’ll be bringing something really nice back home! You definitely don’t want to pass by these unique little streets.
