Boy oh boy, what do we love this wonderful place! This is definitely one of our favourite spots in Stockholm. Café Gildas Rum is perfectly located in Södermalm next to small shops and a beautiful park. When I entered I fell in love right away. The beautiful tiled floors, bordeaux red cushions, chandeliers, lots of colour, warm, relaxed, homely and very cozy. That’s how I can best describe Gildas Rum. It’s like having tea with Alice in wonderland.
They also serve great food and nice drinks. Please note: their menu is written in Swedish on a blackboard. But don’t hesitate to ask the staff for a translation, they are very willing to lay it out for you with ease (even if it’s very busy). The sandwiches, pastries, salads and fresh juices can be order at the counter, and will be brought to you.
Should you by any chance be planning a short trip to Stockholm, be sure to stop by Gildas Rum in Södermalm. I am Sure this is a place you will never forget!
* Tip: Order a lemon-mint lemonade! Delicious!
