Blå Porten is situated on the island of Djurgården. The entrance is not very obvious, but it is right next to the Liljevalchs Konsthall (the famous art museum).
It’s a lovely restaurant where you can have lunch and on Tuesdays and Thursdays you can also dine. The lunch is particularly very nice especially by good weather.
This restaurant has a neat setting for a great price (compared to many restaurants in Stockholm). It has a great courtyard and the atmosphere is very relaxed and romantic. Fun for our lovebirds!
Inside there is also a pleasant living room- feel, but not nearly as exciting as the courtyard. So again: when the weather is nice you should definitely go here and sit outside in the courtyard.
The menu exudes Mediterranean influences but is very limited. Nevertheless, the dishes are super delicious. You will be insured that only fresh ingredients are used by the taste of the food.
The staff is very friendly and will give you the best service. However, I find that the staff is dressed too formally. But then again this fits very well with the setting. The audience is diverse, but you will mostly find a great group of locals and couples.
