In December 2010 Volt opened its doors in Östermalm. The restaurant is owned by four young men who have worked with several great restaurants in Stockholm and also abroad.
The concept is “Gastro Bistro”. Fine dining but in a very relaxed and casual atmosphere.
The restaurant has a modest decor with nostalgic 50’s elements. The nice thing about it is that you can also recognise this in some of the dishes.
On the menu they only mention the ingredients. How it is prepared, is a complete surprise for the guests. When the food got served, we understood why. The meat was served on the plate in 3 different ways. Fried, grilled, and balanced. We were amazed by the different textures and flavours from the same piece of meat. WOW!
In our opinion, this restaurant is truly one of the highlights of Stockholm.
This is a restaurant where everything is actually done different from normal. Your coffee is served on a nice plate with a sponge cake on the side, the presentation of the dishes are so amazing that you almost do not want to eat them, next to white and red wine they also serve orange wine. So if you would like to try something totally different? This is definitely the place to be!
